I was born in Glasgow and brought up in a town nearby. I studied Drawing and Painting at Glasgow school of Art. Later I had my children and went into teaching.

My ideas for my jewellery come from drawings of natural or man made objects, and often I make some small components and play around with them until I have the design I like. Usually when I develop an idea into a piece of jewellery, for example, a necklace, I then make other pieces with the same design idea, such as earrings or a brooch .
After 20 years living in Totnes I have returned to Scotland, the Isle of Arran , to live and continue to make jewllery.
