The Handmade Heritage Day

The Handmade Heritage Day

Handmade Heritage Day
Saturday 6th May 2017
11am-3pm

Three Rivers District Council are delighted to announce that they will be hosting another free, family heritage day with support received from Heritage Lottery Fund and other local partners!

After the successful Leavesden Heritage Day event of 2016, the Handmade Heritage Day will feature a host of activities:

* displays from local history groups, museums and archive services

* showcase displays of artwork from local schools and community groups who have taken part in the Handmade Heritage Community project

* art activities and the chance to add to the 'Woollen Wood' textile Craftbomb!

* Living History walk through the park, guided by actors in costume and with performances from local school children

Activities will be centered around the community being able to learn more about the rich heritage of Leavesden Country Park and Abbots Langley, and there'll be the opportunity to share your own memories and stories about the area, on film or audio recording!

For more information about the event, how to share your story, help capture stories from others or volunteer on the day, please contact Elaine Johnson, Arts Development Officer on elaine.johnson@threerivers.gov.uk / 01923 776611
