Gail Trezise Gail Trezise - creative ceramics
Gail Trezise
I am a ceramic artist with two very different and distinctive styles of work.
Working from my new studio at the Sea Change craft studios Cockington Court I produce a small but continually changing range of unique hand crafted ceramic gifts and sculptural artwork
My 'pods' which are inspired by sea urchins and shells, are created by stitching cellulose sponge into soft moulds, each one producing a sculpture with a unique form and texture.
My harbours, boats, beach huts and fish are made using slab building techniques and inspired by the coastal towns of Devon and Cornwall.
I am happy to work to commission or to personalise an item for you
I aim to capture the nostalgia of the seaside holiday, an idyllic summer, a treasured memory of time and place.
I am an associate member of The Devon Guild of Craftsmen and a member of westcountry potters.
