Abstract photographs - Unusual images from the natural world...........

The natural world is full of surprises and discovering them is only limited by our powers of observation. There is so much more to see than meets the eye and this is what I try to discover and capture in my work.

Digital photography can enhance our powers of perception. I let nature provide the patterns and textures and the colours. I use technology to enhance what is already there. Sometimes I add to the picture by using natural objects. The results can be mysterious, vibrant, challenging and, sometimes, weird!

None of this would have been possible without the encouragement of my wonderfully talented wife Sara whose paintings you can see on the Ctreative Torbay site. Her sea paintings are something special!

I am also involved in writing and playing music. For Christmas 2008, three of my songs were recorded by my friends, Nigel & Rowena Steady, and issued on CD in aid of two charities. The cd was heavily featured on BBC Radio Somerset, and both Rowena & I were interviewed by the station. If you would like to know more about this music please visit http://www.letthechildrensingatchristmas.co.uk.

Looking for some fun jazz for a wedding, bar mitzvah, party or funeral? I also play rhythm guitar in the Crazy Rhythm Boys jazz band. Visit us on www.crazyrhythmboys.co.uk where you can listen to a sample track, see and read about the band members, order cds and make bookings!

Good to see you are still producing some fine images Graham. Hope to see you up here in Plockton sometime in the near future - you never know, you might be inspired to take some more photos to add to your increasing excellent collection.

Sara GilbertNot everyone would wait ankle-deep in the sea for a piece of seaweed to curl itself into a letter 'g'. No trickery here, just a keen eye and a sense of the unusual. Lovely mesmerising work.

Looking at the world in the way that Graham allows us, helps us see the true beauty of creation. He never gets in the way of it allowing its simplicity to shine uncluttered, and with honesty.
I love your work - keep it up!
