Jill Tomalin Totnes Early Music Society

From the earthy street music of medieval England, via renaissance lutes and viols to glorious baroque music for small ensembles, the Totnes Early Music Society offers the chance to hear top quality musicians in the early music field play everything from traditional folk tunes to music written for royal courts. Ever heard a nyckelharpa or an oud? How about a Bolivian baroque sonata only recently discovered? Or Bach's wonderful Goldberg Variations, or the music of Corelli...... As chair of the Totnes Early Music Society, I programe six concerts a year. I am keen to make contact with suitable performers, and for as many people as possible to discover and enjoy the varied music in our concert programme.
