Jill Tomalin / Events / Fri 8th Feb 2013 Ashley Solomon and Terence Charlston

Flautist Ashley Solomon (Director of Florilegium) and harpsichordist Terence Charlston make a welcome return to Totnes. Their programme "Les Nations" will explore the differences of national styles of Baroque music, and includes music from Germany, Italy, England and Bolivia - notably the anonymous Sonata Chiquitano from the Chiquitos archives in the middle of the Bolivian jungle which, whilst composed in the early 18th century, was only discovered in the last 5 years. Their programme also includes music by Frescobaldi, Pasquini, Handel, Bach and Frederick the Great of Prussia.
