New Devon Opera's 2012 production is one of opera's best loved operas Puccini's gorgeous story of love and betrayal, "Madam Butterfly", sung in English.

New Devon Opera (NDO) is a professional not-for-profit opera company, set up in 2004 to serve the south west region. In the last two weeks of July, NDO tours full opera productions to venues in the south west. The company uses professional opera singers and orchestra and, a community chorus.

‘NDO’s real secret weapon is something much, much rarer. There’s an enduring sense of good nature emanating from everyone in this company and a perceptible meta-pleasure is gained from watching a team of people deriving their own pleasure from giving pleasure to others, rather than simply seeking approval.
