Righteous Bees are a collective of free-wheelin', fun lovin', children of the light of sweet soul music. Bringing timeless grooves from way back when to the here and now, they spread their funky love through the Cumbrian hills, bouncing beats off the calm lakewater.
Having crossed paths in the Northern festival circuit, the band came together organically through a shared love of rootsy vibes. With the three core members already established as solo performers and songwriters, the collective soon created a set of celebratory, heartlfelt & conscious tunes.
These are the Bees: Queen Bee (Louise Mary Martin); Buzz Brightbeard (Jack Hartley); Honeythroat Sweetlick (Paddy Wilde)... joined hither and thither by a variety of winged wanderers to create a deliciously natural flavour.
