The Gallery is a professionally run contemporary art gallery in a busy corridor at the heart of Torbay Hospital in Torquay. Exhibitions change every six weeks and feature good quality original work by artists from all over the UK. It has earned a reputation as a selling space and very public showcase for professional artists - with about 1,000 people a day passing through it. The Gallery favours bright, positive, uplifting work and is run through a charity, South Devon Healthcare Arts, which promotes art as part of the healing process.
