Craft of Natural Textiles

Craft of Natural Textiles

£120 - includes materials.

With Flora Arbuthnott and Babs Behan.

Join us for a natural dye foraging walk, to locate colour-producing plants for the dye-pot. Discover how to extract colour using low impact methods. Make your own local, seasonal dyes heated outside over a wood fire. Create intricate Japanese Shibori tie-dyed silks, using reclaimed wood. You will learn how to harvest wild plants responsibly and build the confidence to continue your own natural dye practice. All materials are provided, including a length of organic British silk, to create a scarf. Botanical Inks uses only organic and locally foraged materials throughout the entire plant to print design journey. We are proud to use no toxic or synthetically produced chemicals whatsoever.

Includes a delicious seasonal foraged lunch and refreshments
