Devon Baroque Orchestra presents four pieces with a watery theme: Handel's famous Water Music Suite in F, Telemann's musical portrait of Hamburg's River Elbe, a Rameau suite depicting the stormy travails of the water nymph Platée and Vivaldi's violin concerto “Tempesta di Mare”. Devon Baroque, under the inspired leadership of new artistic director Persephone Gibbs, is the south west's premier period instrument orchestra.
