A day of challenges, skills and adventures for kids who love messing about in the woods with sticks, streams, mud, fires and a pinch of danger! Plus weaving, crafting, foraging, cooking and wild potions and lotions for those who dream of hedge witches and bandit queens!

Each day will focus on different activities, drawing upon bushcraft, fieldcraft and nature awareness and including shelter-building, firecraft, campfire cookery, woodcraft, making traditional weapons, natural cordage and weaving, natural remedies, potions and lotions. Course Leaders
Chris Salisbury - Chris founded WildWise after many years working as an education officer for Devon Wildlife Trust. With a background in the theatre, a training in therapy and a career in environmental education he uses every creative means at his disposal to encourage people to enjoy and value the natural world. He has worked with Ray Mears and John Rhyder, amongst many others.

Liz Meadows - Liz is a trained Forest School Teacher and specializes in rural arts and crafts, particularly willow work. She previously founded Eco-Active, an educational environment project run in local schools, ran the Woodcraft Folk and worked for many years as an Outdoor Education Ranger at Sharpham Outdoors. Her other passions include shiatsu, art, music, canoeing and walking in the wilds. She also trains Dartmoor Hill Ponies using Natural Horsemanship techniques. Her passion and sense of humour she brings to her work is infectious.
