7.30pm
Tickets £12 / Friends of Dartington £11 / U18s £5

This is one of six concerts programmed by Totnes Early Music Society (TEMS) in association with The Arts at Dartington.

This mixed programme features works by Corelli, Stradella and Biber, Bach's violin Partita in D and solos for baroque guitar and lute, and ends with lively traditional Irish tunes and airs. Violinist Eleanor Harrison has performed across Europe and with many prominent UK ensembles, while lutenist Andrew Maginley has appeared equally extensively across Europe and the USA: They first collaborated on Dido and Aeneas in London, and enjoy exploring the Baroque repertoire for violin and continuo.

Eleanor Harrison and Andrew Maginley first collaborated at Opera in Space for productions of ‘Dido and Aeneas’ at King’s Place, London, and ‘Stabat Mater’ at the Museum of St John and on the Isle of Wight. Since forming a duo, they enjoy exploring the extensive repertoire for violin and continuo, especially the music of the early to high Baroque era.
