Anne Bone Cultural yesterday, today and tomorrow on the South Downs

I'm the Cultural Heritage Strategy lead at the South Downs National Park Authority.
The South Downs is a landscape that has inspired artists of all kinds for many centuries and the development of a contemporary cultural response is just as important. There has been some contemporary work in the last few years - for instance the work by Red Earth at South Harting and at Wolstonbury and we'll be looking for other opportunties. We won't be running an art gallery, arranging concerts or commissioning sculpture so please don't email me about ideas in those veins!
Our Managment Plan is in development but we are already involved with some projects - for isntance "Illuminating the South Downs" with the accredited museums in West Sussex that have collections linked to the National Park.

I used to work at Chichester District Council (other envirnomental arts projects there included the Andy Goldsworthy projects) so to people who knew me there hello - and for others I look forward to meeting you over the coming years.

Skills: arts and heritage development, project management, fund raising.
