Statement
BOB DAWSON COASTAL SCULPTOR
Bob Dawson Sculpture's have been inspired by environmental and
maritime issues taken from studies of the South West coast line.
Available in ceramic and bronze, they are extremely tactile and rich
in surface texture. These abstract works combine natural and
manmade forms. They are ideally suited to alfresco and corporate
gardens, or in open office space.
Clients can choose from small runs of limited edition of one – ten or
by private commission.
PAINTINGS BY BOB DAWSON
After relocating from Cheshire twelve years ago, Dartmouth artist
Bob Dawson draws inspiration from Devon's marine environment.
His paintings and sculpture involve a variety of techniques that
explore the surface texture. He says “ I like to experiment and my
work continues to evolve. Galleries like an instantly recognised style
but I find this limiting, it ties the artist down and makes him look at
things in one particular way.”
Fresh challenges, the adoption of new techniques and the element
of chance in the creative process drive Bob's work and this leads to
changes in his style.
