Pastel portrait workshop with Jessie Rayat June 24th & July 1st

Come and join artist and arts educator Jessie Rayat for our extended soft pastel portrait workshop. Jessie will guide you over the course of the workshop, bringing you insights into her approach to portraiture over the two Sunday afternoons. You'll sit and create a portrait over the two three hour groups, building your study step by step to its completion

The taster session proved to be a great success back in 2017. Jessie was keen to have a longer workshop so as to really deliver some useful one on one time with people. If you haven't tried portraiture before why not come along and give it a go, they'll be plenty of help on hand to keep you on track in a relaxed atmosphere here at Trestle. We'll be taking it slowly, building on your observations step by step. All materials are provided and you can take them away with you along with reference images should you want to put any finishing touches to your work after July 1st.

In total: Two sessions Sunday June 24th 14:30 to 18:00 & July 1st 14:30 to 18:00 (7 hours total) All materials are provided on the day, along with refreshment. cost £60

• What to bring

Casual clothes, pastels can be messy. Otherwise everything else is provided. If you have soft pastels and want to bring them. Please do.

• Important to know

Jessie is an Artist and Arts Educator who has Exhibited all over London. She holds regular workshops at Artscape Harpenden and will be bringing a life drawing paint session to Trestle with me at the end of August. (Details to be released in the near future)
