'Draw Cockington Court' Competition

'Draw Cockington Court' Competition

Cockington Court Craft Centre and the Cockington Chocolate Company are working in colaboration, to bring you an exciting new art competition to children and young adults between the ages of 5-11 & 12-18. You don’t have to live in the Bay, you don't have to be a budding Picasso – you just need to have creativity and imagination and want to be a part of this inspiring new project.

What is new and exciting about it? – The selected artwork from the two categories will be made into 'official' Cockington Court merchandise that will be sold to visitors in our gift shop. In addition, the winners will receive a fabulously delicious luxury prize from the Cockington Chocolate Company, and will also be invited into the workshop to spend some time watching and learning how chocolate is made. Tony the Chocolatier may even let you try your hand at chocolate making!

And if all this isnt exciting enough – all entries will be put before our judging panel, and chosen artwork will be part of an exhibition that will be installed in our Kitchen Gallery for all our visitors to see. The judging panel will be; Marissa Wakefield – Cockington Court Craft Centre Director, Tony Fagan & Simon Storey – propriotors of the Cockington Chocolate Company, Anita Newcombe – Editor English Riviera Magazine and Peter Heppa – Head of Media and Art at South Devon College.

What do I need to do and how do I enter? - Well, you simply need to draw the stunning Grade II listed Manor House at Cockington Court. It sould be A4 and you can paint, chalk, crayon, collage – whatever you fancy as long as it's 2D.
Competiton dates – entries to date will be shown at the new Visitor Welcome Point launch on Sunday 5th April 2015. Entries can be submitted until 5pm on Friday 10th April 2015.
