CALL FOR 3D CRAFTWORKERS LOOKING FOR PURPOSEBUILT STUDIO SPACE IN TORBAY/SOUTH DEVON

Cockington Court Craft Centre received £2.85 million funding to treble the number of wet space craft studios and to have new offices for
media, design and web companies in a panoramic setting of 460 acres of parkland, manor house, stable yard and medieval church.

On site are well established tea rooms and shops and the Centre is visited by at least 100,000 visitors per year. There is a new Operator and a new Centre Director who have an exciting agenda to place Cockington on the international map as a cultural hub so the business opportunities are endless.

The studios are all supplied with sinks, metered electricity and biomass heating and have generous north lights in the roof. There are Open Space studios with wide glass doors, so we are looking for demonstrable, 3 dimensional crafts. In addition, there are more traditional units available in the historic stable yard. There is also a new Cob Barn conversion which will house 2/3 more rustic spaces.

The following categories will be particularly favoured by the Vetting Committee:-

• Art Textiles
• Fashion
• Sculpture
• Green woodworking
• Mosaic
• Basketry
• Functional ceramics

If you wish to apply for space, please contact the Cockington Court Centre Director on marissa.wakefield@tedcltd.com or by phone on 01803
607 230 and request application forms and details. Temporary, project led studio lets may be considered.
