Coleridge Cottage Historic Venue

Owned by the National Trust and restored in a major redevelopment project in 2011, this 17th century cottage is the former home of Romantic poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge. It was here that Coleridge wrote some of his most famous works, including 'The Rime of the Ancient Mariner' and 'Kubla Khan'.

New for 2013, the National Trust opened its Garden Room, a multifunctional space perfect for groups, schools, exhibitions and events. Already the property has hosted several exhibitions by local artists and photographers, and held its first crafts weekend over the May bank holiday weekend.
