'Haytor Angel'

'Haytor Angel'

There are 135 'Tors' within South West England's famous Dartmoor National Park and Haytor Tor is probably the most well known. It was here in Victorian times that they built a granite railway, not just for transporting the mined granite but the railway tracks themselves were fabricated from granite as well! This delightful angel-like lady, borrowed from a Victorian postcard, watches over those who still tread the tracks around the tor and onwards to the far West.
