Call out for Performers/Collaborators, SBC Theatre

SBC Theatre are Hannah Butterfield, Rosie MacPherson and John Tomlinson - the UK’s first Theatre Company of Sanctuary and are Associate Artists at Cast, Doncaster.

We are looking for two performers and collaborators for a new, devised theatre work (Dis)Place, supported by Arts Council England.

Currently in the research & development stage, this performance project aims to explore/provoke/debate notions of the ‘free-movement’ of people - particularly in and out of the UK.

The ideal applicants will:

• Be confident in performing to a live audience*
• Over 18 years of age*
• Be able to work collaboratively with the team to make challenging, engaging performance*
• Strong devising skills and an interest in non-traditional theatre forms
• Play an instrument (or good singing skills)
• Bi-lingual or confident speaking in a language other than English

*Essential

You must have good availability for the following rehearsals:

Monday 16th January 2017 - Friday 20th January 2017 (10am-6pm) AND

Monday 23rd January 2017 - Friday 27th January 2017 (10am-6pm)

The rate of pay for this project is £100/day. The successful applicants will be required a MINIMUM of 6 days across the rehearsal dates. You MUST be available for a sharing of the piece on Friday 27 January 2017. Please specify your availability (across the two weeks indicated above) in your application email.

Rehearsals will be taking place at Cast in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.
