Community Singing Facilitator, Find Your Voice

Position: Community Singing Facilitator

Location: Calderdale

Salary: £40 per hour

Hours: Part time freelance, 3+ hours a week, Monday to Friday

Find Your Voice is a UK wide organisation who deliver fun and engaging singing and movement education programmes. Working with local artists, Find Your Voice promotes health and wellbeing benefits through community and cultural engagement.

This role is centered around work within our communities. The aim of this role is to deliver high quality singing sessions to adults who might not normally participate or engage in creative arts. Under the guidance of the Programme Manager, you will ensure the smooth delivery of our programmes within adult day care centres, social care centres, children’s centres and residential facilities delivering our established programmes of learning.

Who are we looking for?

Facilitators with:

- Dedication and enthusiasm for diverse and inclusive access to the arts

- Singing qualifications and relevant experience

- Experience working with a community setting

- Understanding of the importance of documentation for impact and evaluation

- Effective verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to work as part of a team

- Ability to manage demands whilst working to tight timescales

- Experience of working with vulnerable adults

- Driving license and access to a car or ability to travel to rural locations

- Ability to be flexible and understanding of the project-based work

Desirable:

- Experience of facilitating adult education

- Understanding of adult education framework/Ofsted

- Experience working with ESFA or similar quality assurance frameworks

After selection facilitators will be invited to attend a workshop in central Doncaster on Wednesday 14th August - we ask that applicants are available to attend a workshop on this date.

Successful candidates will then be invited to attend training in London at the beginning of September and to start that month.
