Freelance: Futures - Arts Council England

Register for Freelance : Futures to access resources and participate in workshops, panel discussions, self-organising spaces and virtual gatherings that will aim to help everyone play their role in building equitable conditions for freelancers.

Attendance is free and the programme is split into three phases:

• 16 May - 10 June Getting informed, resourced and connected
• 13 - 17 June Online gathering, working together and creating change
• 20 June - 5 July Continuing the work, embedding shifts and defining next actions

You can choose to engage with as many resources and sessions as you’d like and are able to.

FREELANCE : FUTURES is a call for collective learning and action to build equitable conditions for freelancers working in culture. Through free resources, workshops, panel discussions, self-organising spaces and virtual gathering (13 JUN – 17 JUN), we explore sector organising, freelancer rights and resources, organisational transformation and policy-making.

FREELANCE : FUTURES is a 9-week programme for independent practitioners, cultural organisations, unions, funders and policymakers. The programme has been convened by a freelancer-led consortium, who have come together to build on existing advocacy, research and campaigning across culture.

F : F PROGRAMME
Over 9 weeks, we invite you to take a journey:

13 MAY – FULL PROGRAMME LAUNCH: Registration opens for all F : F events

20 JUN – 15 JUL: Continuing the work, embedding shifts and defining next actions
ACCESS & BURSARY REQUESTS
All events are free, ticketed, and accessible. In recognition that freelancers are not often remunerated for the time taken to attend sector events, the consortium has created 40 bursaries of £250 to enable more freelancers to engage.
