Leeds Playhouse - Deputy Head of Lighting

Are you a skilled individual with proven experience of managing lighting and video within the events and entertainment industry? If yes, join Leeds Playhouse in the role of Deputy Head of Lighting within their Lighting department.

You would be one of two Deputy Head of Lighting posts, line managed by Head Of Lighting and helping to run a team made up of Senior Lighting Technician & Lighting & Video Technicians, as well as casuals & freelancers. You will also be part of the team that supports their Studio Theatre Technicians in the Bramall Rock Void.

You will be responsible for overseeing and undertaking the delivery of Lighting and Video support for productions in our three venues, community driven projects across the city, and creative projects as part of their digital development programme.

You will be working in collaboration with colleagues across our production department in support of external creative teams, visiting companies, and offering technical expertise to their digital development programme.

This is a permanent full time contract, subject to successful completion of a probationary period of 3 months. You will be working 40 hours per week over 6 days. Evening, weekend and some public holiday work will be required. You will be expected to work overtime as required. Leeds Playhouse operates under an in-house agreement.

Pay is £23,091 per year, plus BECTU/UK Theatre commercial get-outs and overtime payments.
