Production Designer, Mind the Gap

Mind the Gap is seeking an experienced Production Designer for the outdoor production Leave the Light On For Me.

Purpose of the role
The Production Designer will collaborate with Mind the Gap staff and Artists and the creative team to create a production design for the show Leave the Light on For Me for touring to UK Festivals in summer 2022, which will start in Bradford. The Production Designer will be an integral part of the artistic team, to lead on the visual design and aesthetics for the 40 minute outdoor show.

The Production
Leave the Light on For Me is a new piece of devised outdoor theatre commissioned by Unlimited, about the climate crisis to be co-created by Nickie Miles-Wildin, Joint Artistic Director & CEO, DaDa; Joyce Nga Yu Lee, Artistic Director, Mind the Gap and learning-disabled artists from Mind the Gap. The Production will create new opportunities for learning-disabled practitioners and will have their voices and concerns at its heart.

This is a freelance position between January and June 2022. Fee: £3,500
