Without Walls - Open Call for artists

Without Walls is delighted to have been awarded National Portfolio Organisation funding from Arts Council England for 2018/19- 2021/22.

This recognises the artistic achievements of the past ten years and how outdoor arts has flourished, bringing delight and challenge to audiences across the UK. Now they want to plan with artists, companies and partners – existing and new – to deepen their impact and make ambitious new work.

As a result of this huge vote of confidence in the outdoor arts sector, Without Walls is delighted to announce some new initiatives for their 2018 commissioning round:

1. An Open Call for Commissions and Touring Support

Artists are invited to submit proposals for the next round of Without Walls commissions, for new outdoor arts projects in any form which will premiere and tour in 2018. (You can also submit proposals for projects planned for 2019, though you may wish to consider requesting support for Research & Development for these projects.)

2. Research and Development Support

Without Walls recognises the importance of research and development in the creation of new and ambitious projects. As part of their longer-term planning Without Walls will invest in early or mid-stage research on projects that may come to fruition in 2019 or beyond.
