2017 Heritage Activities Project Manager (Temporary)

Delivery: 120 days between January 2017 – April 2018, £275 per day

2017 is a special year for Jane Austen’s House Museum, marking the 200thanniversary of Jane Austen’s death. The Museum has secured a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund that will deliver a programme of events and activities that will be managed by the 2017 Project Manager. These include the creation of a community-made ‘story quilt’, accompanying oral histories and local history research.

As 2017 Heritage Activities Project Manager you will be expected to plan, organise and deliver all aspects of the project from the recruitment and management of contracted specialists and project volunteers to the design and promotion of events and activities, as well as the budget management, project reporting and internal communication. You will work with other JAHM staff, the wider Jane Austen community, partner organisations, groups and individuals as necessary.
