Horizon Project Administrator, Plymouth University

Plymouth Horizon is an ambitious 2-year development programme for the visual arts in Plymouth. This includes a new international festival, a major multi-site exhibition and an international co-commissioning programme. Plymouth Culture (supported by Plymouth University) will lead the Horizon partnership with city visual arts organisations.

An experienced project administrator is required to support this exciting project. You will work within the Research and Creative Industries team at Plymouth University and will work with Plymouth Culture to provide effective and efficient administrative support for the project and its partners.

The role will mainly involve:

Liaison between the project partners e.g. to request and collate project delivery and financial reports.
Financial administration of the project, working closely with the university central finance office and the project partners in order to maintain the project budget, track income and expenditure against the agreed budget profiles etc.
Organising and note taking at meetings for the project programme and steering groups.
Organisation and storage of relevant project documentation.
Requesting, collating and preparing the evidence required to report progress to the funder Arts Council England.
You will have excellent organisation, communication, prioritisation and IT skills. You will have a professional approach and be able work both as part of a team. You will use your own initiative and will have experience of working, administratively, on large projects in the higher education/cultural sector.

This is a part time position working 18.5 hours per week on a fixed term basis until 31 December 2018.
