We have a fantastic opportunity at Lanhydrock for a house and collections manager. If you’re an enthusiastic, knowledgeable conservation and collections expert we’d love to hear from you.

Accommodation is provided to the postholder for the proper or better performance of his or her duties in accordance with Trust criteria and HMRC rules.

What it's like to work here

Lanhydrock House is a 94 room, grade 1 listed mansion set in a 25 acre garden and surrounded by 910 acres of countryside. The mansion welcomes around 250,000 visitors a year and is notable for offering the longest visitor route in the Trust with over 50 showrooms.

The house is Jacobean, but is presented today at its late Victorian zenith when it was the home of Thomas, 2nd Lord Robartes, his wife Mary and their large family who were looked after by a staff of 80. The house offers a fascinating insight into a lost world, both above and below stairs.

The collection has around 40,000 items, 25,000 of which are on display. It has an internationally important collection of books and a solid collection of Japanese ceramics, fine early furniture and paintings.
