The Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery, (RAMM) is a much loved institution at the heart of Exeter and Devon’s cultural life, telling stories alongside international ones, through exceptional collections that embrace world cultures, natural history, antiquities and art. Multi-dimensional, multi-disciplinary and multi-award winning, judges have described us as ‘modest in scale but vast in ambition and imagination’.

Through your work as RAMM’s Public Programme Officer, you will develop and manage a lively, innovative, distinctive and popular programme of public events relating to RAMM, its collections, temporary exhibitions and its place in the cultural landscape.

We are looking for someone able to think laterally and creatively, combining strong organisational and practical skills alongside an understanding of the business and commercial potential of RAMM’s assets and services. You will have a positive and resilient attitude to problem solving, overcoming obstacles and change, as well as the ability to work to budgets with strict deadlines and to undertake concurrent projects.

You will have the skills and experience to manage staff and communicate effectively, working flexibly with colleagues and with partners to ensure smooth delivery and the best experience for RAMM’s visitors.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a stimulating, fast paced and varied cultural setting.

Please note that shortlisting for this post will not take place until January 2018.
