new Youth Music funding programme

new Youth Music funding programme

The new Youth Music funding programme opens on 3rd November. Details are on the website at: http://www.youthmusic.org.uk/musicispower/Grants/
Following the launch events Sally Clements from Youth Music will be holding 3 ‘surgery’ days:
· Truro Library – Wednesday 9th November. 11.45am – 5pm
· Dorchester – Borough Gardens Community Room, Borough Gardens House, Cornwall Road – Friday 11th November. 9.00am till 1pm.
· Exeter ( venue tbc) – Tuesday 22nd November. 10am till 3pm.
They are an opportunity for a one to one conversation about a specific project plan if you are planning to apply for funding in the first round of this new programme.
Please let Sally know as soon as possible if you would like to book a ‘surgery’ slot. Booking is not via the website for these appointments. Appointments will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Sally.Clements@youthmusic.org.uk
The sessions will be around 45 minutes, but it will depend partly on demand. If the days fill up very quickly, don’t worry, Sally will be able to talk on the phone or answer email queries during w/c 21st November.
The application process is in two stages. The deadline for stage 1 applications is 1st December.
There will also be an Outcomes training workshop on Monday 13th November in Exeter at The X Centre led by Dr Douglas Lonie, Youth Music’s Research and Evaluation Manager, which will be very useful in planning an application, particularly if you haven’t attended one of Youth Music’s Outcomes workshops before. You will be able to book for this via the website soon.
