Hackathons are a great way to get to know different topics and tools in art and technology. In this workshop we will introduce you to the basics, encouraging your own creative and design ideas.

Bristle Bot making workshop – make an easy battery powered bot that can then be introduced to our Bristle Bot arena – who’s bot will last?

Makey Makey Fruit piano – Fruit makes noises in this interactive introduction to physical computing.

Where are you? Create a Lego map of Dewsbury that you can add to throughout the course of the day – see Dewsbury grow!

…plus there will be other objects of interest to amaze and amuse throughout the day!

This day will then be followed up by a week long ‘Hack’ in October half term 2015: we want to hear your ideas to help us shape these workshops.
