Folk Music Masterclass with Paul Martin

Are you an emerging folk musician aged 18+ based in Yorkshire?

Would you like the opportunity to learn from one of the foremost folk musicians in the UK?

Cleckheaton Folk Festival in partnership with Creative Scene is offering a free series of workshops with Paul Sartin (Bellowhead, Jon Boden and the Remnant Kings, Faustus, Belshazzar’s Feast) on the 5th & 6th July at Cleckheaton Folk Festival.

On Friday 5th July, 2pm-5pm participants will have their masterclass with Paul Sartin, to be followed by an acoustic showcase performance by masterclass participants from 7pm-9pm.

Saturday 6th July, 9.30am-11am will see a performance review by Paul Sartin.

Applicants for the Masterclass must commit to all sessions.

We are particularly interested in receiving applications from folk musicians based in North Kirklees.

Applicants for the Cleckheaton Folk Festival Hiring Fair are ineligible to apply.

All participants receive a free weekend ticket for Cleckheaton Folk Festival 2019

Thanks to funding from Arts Council England Project Grants, this artist development opporunity is offered free of charge to Yorkshire based emerging folk musicians.
