Friendship through Puppets Parade - Dewsbury

Join Creative Scene and 6 million+ for the Friendship through Puppets Parade in Dewsbury on Saturday 6 November at 11am.

Friendship through Puppets will also feature poetry, moments of reflection and music from Banda Na Rua Samba Band and Ney player Mina Salama.

Throughout autumn, people across Kirklees have come together to create the Syrian Sister, the seventh Weeping Sister, together with a flock of laughing dove puppets.

The Weeping Sisters are giant figures which remember the lives lost in the Holocaust and other genocides around the world. They are made by local people, artists, refugees, students and asylum seekers in Kirklees all working together.
