Making Great Creative Things Happen Talk

Making Great Creative Things Happen Talk

Are you interested in working collaboratively with other creative folk or artist collectives?

Want to know more about community asset transfers (the transfer of management or ownership of public property from its owner to a community organisation, such as a CIC, social enterprise or development trust)?

Are you interested in curating exhibitions?

How about bringing your community together through creative and wellbeing activities?

Come along to Lisa Heanley’s ‘Making Great Creative Things Happen’ talk on Thursday 30th May and learn from someone who has done it all!

Lisa is part of The Friends of Stretford Public Hall and was instrumental in the asset transfer of the hall in Manchester, one of the biggest asset transfers ever in the UK, and the establishment of the hall as a creative community hub, where events like Wellbeing Tuesdays and Creative Thursdays bring people together and offer access to free and low cost activities that benefit the whole community.

Lisa’s talk will cover the processes that she went through, in working alongside others, to the transfer of the building, to curation of exhibitions and activities.

If you would like to come along email jack@creativescene.org.uk. We expect that this talk is going to be popular, so do not delay in booking your spot!

To come along you will need to be a member of Brigantia, which costs £3 annually, and will offer you access to loads of events at the space in the heart of Dewsbury!
