Electric Spring Festival 2019

Electric Spring Festival 2019

The annual Electric Spring festival of electronic music takes place from 20–24 February 2019. The festival features innovative performers and composers at the cutting edge of electronic music and music technology, whose work is featured through five days of performances, installations, workshops, and symposia. At the heart of the festival is the 50-channel, 60-loudspeaker Huddersfield Immersive Sound System (theHISS), one of the premier loudspeaker orchestras in the UK. This year we also launch a special link with the Yorkshire Sound Women Network and a new professional development programme for female composers of electronic music hosted in partnership with the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival (hcmf//).

All concerts, lectures, symposia, and the Modular Meets gathering are free and open to the public. Please note that the Yorkshire Sound Women Network workshops require advance booking.
