2 x Prop / Costume Maker for Flashmob in central Exeter

We are looking for two prop/costume makers to oversee the creation of simple, large, colourful and noisy 'sound-making' props and costume pieces to use in a Flashmob which will be performed outside in central Exeter on 21st September.

You will be working with adults who have moderate to profound and multiple learning disabilities and their support staff where needed. Applicants need to have a proven track record of creating props and costumes with this client group.

This is an opportunity to deliver four 1.5hour prop and costume making workshops over two days in Exeter on Wednesday 24th and Wednesday 31st August. The two morning workshops will be at CEDA with support staff (www.cedaonline.org.uk). The two afternoon workshops will be at Exeter Phoenix where most participants will come independently of their support workers.

You will work in a pair, overseeing time and budget management and delegating where necessary to support staff. You are welcome to also bring in your own volunteers. You will also become part of our production team, working closely with Amerie & Samantha from Encounter Theatre & Therapy and Craig & Helen from CEDA.

PROPS AND COSTUMES NEED TO BE COMPLETED BY MONDAY 5th SEPTEMBER.

Before we can offer you this role we will need you to provide evidence that you and any volunteers you bring in have adequate / current insurance and DBS checks to cover this work.
