Poetry in the Park - 100 Thousand Poets for Change

Poetry in the Park - 100 Thousand Poets for Change

Poets and poetry lovers are warmly welcomed to a free Poetry in the Park readaround in the Greenhead Park Pavilion by the bowling greens from 1pm to 3pm. Just bring along two or three short poems to read – your own or by someone else.

This session of Poetry in the Park is part of a Global Event Day organised by 100 Thousand Poets for Change to promote peace, justice and sustainability worldwide. This year’s event highlights the significance of children in the world, so poems about childhood, or that meant a lot to you as a child, or about the happiness of children (or threats to that happiness) would be especially welcome.
