For the last 13 years Gillian Burrows has been creating abstract artworks from her Trinity Buoy Wharf studio. London became her adopted city nearly 40 years ago and it still continues to inspire her today.

She said: "I discovered Trinity Buoy Wharf in the late '90s and its such a wonderful place to have a studio. The location has been a key factor in the direction of my work - inspired
by the mix of history such as the lighthouse against the ultra modern containers. Being right next to the river helps too."

Her compositions reveal an artist who creates realism to abstraction, ranging from small finely observed architectural portraits in pen and watercolour, to huge powerful acrylics saturated in vibrant colours.
Starting out as a graphic designer she look the bold step to start a fresh chapter in her life, involving finding a new home and detaching herself from the world of advertising and designing to establish her own freelance studio.

Paintings and prints are available to view at Gillian's studio, just arrange a time and date. You can commission Gillian to paint your special view of London or you can lease paintings from the artist's collection of work for your offices and home. Go to www.artistgb.com
