Christmas Bazaar

Christmas Bazaar

The South Hams Forum Christmas Craft Fair showcases the work of some the finest artists and makers in the area. With something a little different for Christmas, the artists offer a wide range of arts and crafts, including silver, jewellery, glass, ceramics, basketry and sculpture.

Open 10 am - 5 pm, with a festive open evening on Thursday 14 November from 6 - 8 pm.

Angela Holland's beautiful handmade basketware is woven mostly from locally grown willows. Decorative and functional, her fruit platters, bird-feeders and baskets make ideal gifts. Angela will also make Christmas wreaths to order, using your favourite foliage and natural materials.
Christine East's jewellery is made by knitting with very fine silver wire to make delicate, jewelled adornments. This bangle, The Wave, is inspired by living close to the sea and is knitted with sparkling crystals. Christine also makes silver rings and brooches.
Charlotte Dalrymple-Hay creates beautiful pieces of silver jewellery: timeless designs with movement, fluidity and lightly hammered surfaces. She adds colour with semi-precious stones, Swarovski crystals and Murano glass beads. Her most recent necklace designs have an African influence, mixing silver with wooden beads.
Sandra Litchfield shows traditionally formed pewter items, based on the geology, flora and fauna of the South West. All pieces are made with British pewter and make ideal gifts which will last a lifetime.
EC Williams produces works of art in response to the local landscape. Her current project is The Gift of Solitude.
"I believe that environmental issues are the key concerns of our era and are essential element in my work”.
Hepzibah McLeod makes drawings that negotiate the distinction between human and animal, and between fantasy and reality, all with a nostalgia for British myth in modern culture. She will show fine art prints, stationery and printed tee shirts.
Amanda Coates creates mixed media works inspired by nature and using a variety of materials, including hand-dyed papers, fabrics, fibres and found objects. Her work is varied, but an element of collage and layering can usually be found. Some pieces are stitched and richly textured, whilst others may involve more simple, translucent layers. She will show pictures, wall hangings and decorative bowls.
