Myth and History Family Storytelling Walk in Holme Valley

Time-travel with songs and music from travelling minstrels, wake up the Green Man from a thousand-year sleep, meet characters from Holme Village’s history who have all lost something precious and help them solve the mystery of a stolen box and reclaim their treasures.
Bring a picnic, then join in an optional guided writing activity.

Experience Holme village in the Holme Valley with music and characters from pre-Celtic to modern day, using a treasure map to find what is lost, and to help the Green Man find his stolen seeds.
There will be an optional writing activity after the circular walk, which is suitable for anyone aged seven and over.
This event is part of Holmfirth Arts Festival 2022.

Meet the festival stewards at 10.30am on Sunday 19 June, 2022 in the courtyard marked with balloons, opposite the cobbled parking area in Holme village.

There is one steep section so it is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs.
Bring snacks and drinks for a picnic on a grassy hillside.

The 314 bus goes to Holme from Holmfirth bus station.
