Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans (1927) with live piano accompaniment by Jonny Best (US/Germany/UK)

Sunrise is a 1927 American silent romantic comedy-drama directed by German director FW Murnau starring George O'Brien, Janet Gaynor, and Margaret Livingston. Set in both a city and rural American landscape, Sunrise is widely considered a masterpiece and one the greatest films of the silent era.
Holmfirth-based Jonny Best is one of the UK’s leading silent film musicians and a regular pianist at the British Film Institute on London's Southbank, Leeds International Film Festival and others.
He is one of a small number of pianists specialising in performing entirely improvised film scores, creating music spontaneously as he watches the film with the audience.
