Contemporary British Painting Prize 2021

Huddersfield Art Gallery has hosted the Contemporary British Painting prize since its inception in 2016 and uniquely this major national prize always premieres in Huddersfield before travelling to London.

Over 1,000 artists applied and the exhibition will feature artworks by 15 shortlisted artists. The prize judges are Matthew Burrows MBE (painter and founder of the Artist Support Pledge), Julie Lomax (CEO of a-n Artists Information Company) and Grant Scanlan (Huddersfield Museums Manager).

Huddersfield Art Gallery: Unit 7 is located in the Piazza Shopping Centre opposite the entrance to the Huddersfield Library & Art Gallery building, it has level access. It is open Wednesday to Saturday from 11am to 4pm.
