Talking Young Men - free event in Exeter

Talking Young Men - free event in Exeter

Talking Young Men is a creative and therapeutic project for young men aged 13-16. This event is an opportunity for you to find out about Talking Young Men a ground-breaking partnership project between Devon Youth Offending Service and Encounter Arts. Over the last 6 months a group of Young Men aged 13-16 at risk of anti-social behaviour and crime, have participated in a weekly all male group exploring male identity, effective relationship making and how to move towards becoming positive contributors to society. The project has used creative approaches, such as theatre, active listening, non-violent communication, rites of passage, Forest School and ‘The Work That Reconnects’ to engage and work with these young men. At this free dissemination event you will be able to view a documentary film
of the project, hear from the groups facilitators and get some insight into the lessons learned. Please join us for this event that will also include an open dialogue about how we can address the complex needs of
young men in our society.
