Jo Blaker Artist & Artist Educator

Jo Blaker is a visual artist & educator based in Slaithwaite. Jo holds an MA in Visual Communication from the Royal College of Art & shares the playful creativity at the heart of her practice through workshops at some of West Yorkshire’s leading cultural venues. The influence of natural forms, rhythms and cycles can be seen across her work, from large scale freehand window drawings, to greetings card designs & art works on paper. Jo's practice is rooted in observational drawing, working with a wide range of wet & dry drawing media, often in the elements.

In 2021 Jo set up an Urban Sketching Group for Huddersfield & also runs the HuddersWild Facebook group, promoting opportunities for nature connectedness in Huddersfield.

Jo has over 15 years experience developing & delivering workshops that excite, engage & inspire & her activities can be adapted for different ages & audiences.
