I am a Devon based illustrator, living and working in Torquay. I have always been creative and grew up with the countryside as my playground. I love the natural environment and have drawn wildlife, flora and fauna from a young age. I trained as a graphic designer and illustrator in the 1980s and have worked in many varied roles. I found myself in an educational position for 20 years after my children were born but always kept my illustration and design going as a side line. In 2014 I made some major life decisions and realised it was now or never to start trying to work for myself as my main source of income. Aged 46 I went back to University in Plymouth to do an Illustration degree. Something that wasn't available years before when I did my HNDs. Doing this was incredible and brought me back up to date with the industry. I came out with a first class Hons Degree in 2016. I have now embarked on an MA in Illustration.

I have illustrated books, designed a plethora of brochures and business material over the years but now generally specialise in black and white illustration with a natural theme running through most pieces I create. Working with pen and ink, I had subtle variations in my work to suit different genres.
