kate noble WAC Wells Art Contemporary Open Prize


WAC Wells Art Contemporary is one of the leading showcases for contemporary art in the South West. Our aim is to promote and display work of all mediums, with an overall focus on the quality and confidence of the finished work. The competition sets out to promote and encourage excellence. Experienced and emerging artists are invited to submit works. In addition to the prizes, the WELLS ART CONTEMPORARY OPEN provides artists with the opportunity to display work in an open submission to respected artists, galleries & curators and to exhibit in the City of Wells.
SOLO EXHIBITION LONDON. The 45 Park Lane Art Prize includes an opening night reception/private view and a five day exhibition in the library and foyer, with an overnight stay at 45 Park Lane.
FURTHUR PRIZES of £1000, £500 and £250.
but the prestige is worth even more.

Initial selection by John Moores winner, Dan Hays and Janette Kerr PRWA.

Curator Roy Ackerman CBE will choose a panel of judges from the 45 Park Lane artists.  These include: Sir Peter Blake, Brendan Neiland, Bruce McLean, Christian Furr, Joe Tilson, Martin Fuller, Patrick Hughes, Brad Faine, Donald Smith, Ivor Abrahams, and Tom Phillips. 
The judging will be carried out online and in person. Shorlisted entries will be exhibited at The Wells & Mendip Museum with PRIVATE VIEW and prize giving on 12 October where you can meet the judges. It is possible that Peter Blake’s Bus will park up in the City of Wells.
SUBMISSIONS open now, close September 7th 2012 Exhibition from 12th October to 3rd November.
