Merlin's Mantra

Young people aged 8 – 12 can find themselves in the world of magic in our Play in a Week project.

We’ll start the week by seeing a show at the LBT – HIGH JINX MAGIC & ILLUSION, a fast-paced extravaganza filled with grand illusions and crazy circus thrills. Drawing on inspiration from the show we will create our own play about magicians, witches and wizards who are jinxed...and must unlock the secrets to lift the curse!

We’ll create a ‘magical’ performance to share with family and friends on Friday afternoon. Come and join us for a spellbinding theatrical experience.

There is also the opportunity to achieve an Arts Award Discover as part of the project.

What is a Play in a Week?
The LBT Young Company’s popular Play in a Week Projects give young people the opportunity to work alongside theatre professionals to create a new and exciting show. Young people then perform to an invited audience on the final day. These exciting holiday projects help Young People learn new drama and performance skills, make new friends and have fun, as well as tackling themes and learning specialist skills.
