New Writing Revival - Breathing Spaces this weekend!

This weekend New Writing Revival immerses itself in limitless theatrical pleasures once again as it heads to north Devon for the second Breathing Spaces residency at Beaford Arts. During this retreat we investigate the company's commitment to producing for rural audiences in non theatre spaces. NWR's Artistic Director and a team of very talented south west practitioners will descend on the beautiful market town of South Molton to investigate the practicalities of staging St Nicholas by Conor Mcpherson in some pedestrian and peculiar places.

"I'm delighted to be working with such a talented team and really glad they could come together for this project," said Artistic Director Madeleine Vose "There are many challenges and opportunities when producing theatre in non-theatre spaces. The blend of experience in the company makes for an exciting investigation!"

We'll be updating the Breathing Spaces page on the site every day to let you know what we've been up to. Don't forget to check back and join us and if you want to suggest a play New Writing Revival should consider from the last 20 years of UK new writing, email it to info@newwritingrevival.co.uk

The team for NWR's second Breathing Spaces residency reflects a producing and directing background working with found spaces. Our next update will be on Friday 22nd January after our first recce round South Molton where we'll be looking at spaces and talking to the public about theatre in their town! Come back soon to see how we got on!
