Michael James Smith - Author Lucifer's Abbey

Michael James Smith is a former International Buying Agent in the fashion industry who has worked in more than forty countries and lived in many different locations around the world including nine years in Switzerland and eight years in the United Arab Emirates.

Born in Torquay in the County of Devon, England, Michael has lived an entrepreneurial lifetime and has been involved in several business projects that included a long and successful spell as an International Disk Jockey, an importer and wholesaler of Tropical and Marine Fish (he played music to them too!)and a Fraud Investigator in the Fashion Industry.

Retired to his home town of Torquay Michael spends his time researching local history and writing stories based upon the many famous locations within the County of Devon.

Amongst a list of hobbies are the music of the sixties and seventies, sea angling, geology, assisting his ex-business partner with a comedy Elvis Presley Tribute Show around Torbay and Marine Conservation.

He is currently researching a sequel to his novel Lucifer's Abbey, a story of Satanic horror and murder set around the Torquay Abbey of Torre and also writing a fiction novel based on a fictional daughter of Napoleon and a factual historical escape of American prisoners of the War of Independence from Dartmoor Prison at a time when Napoleon was a prisoner aboard H.M.S. Bellerophon in Torbay.
